Trunk Show 101

Once a year, bridal boutiques have an amazing opportunity to host a designer's new collection within their store. This is a time for not only the boutique, but brides everywhere to enjoy the perks of a designer trunk show. Most brides aren't aware of what these trunk shows offer. To top it off, the name can be confusing!

For a more precise definition:
A "trunk show" is a special sale in which vendors present merchandise directly to store personnel or select customers at a retail location or another unique venue. The merchandise is shipped to the store in big "trunks" and unpacked showcased during a small period of time. In many cases it allows store personnel to preview and/or purchase merchandise before it is made available to the public. For bridal gowns and accessories most designer do not allow their current dresses to be discounted in any way. Taking advantage of a trunk show will help you save and potentially knock enough money off to buy the perfect dress in your budget. Trunk shows are not just for wedding dresses, they also include veils, jewelry, and shoes!
